Running the race for an audience of One!
This Thailand trip was really good. The shopping was good, the retreat away from Singapore was good, the fellowship w family was good, the meeting up w relatives was good and most memorably, the catching up w Yokie, Aoh, Pum and Jo was great! =)
I was recharged, learnt many lessons and even joined my fren's crusade cellgroup for one of the nights!
Something I learnt from cellgroup -Thailand CCC
2 Tim 4:7
I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.
It was Paul's last letter to timothy and Paul was able to say this verse, are we able to say the same? What have we fought for Jesus? Have we even be fighting for Him?
Impt lesson - Running the Race for an Audience of One
Ministry is filled with all kinds of crowds. Some crowds cheer us on for all of the right reasons. Others cheer us on as a power play. And of cos, jeering crowds always stand ready to criticize and discourage. Trouble comes when we cater to any one of these crowds.
To experience the power of God in ministry, we cannot rely upon support of man in any decision to obey God. If we don't understand who our audience really is, and who we really are in the eyes of man and in the eyes of God, we WILL CRUMBLE AND FALL.
The ONLY ONE you can always depend on to be your cheerleader is God. He is your audience. Be willing to run the race for Him alone!
