David and the Goliath
1Samuel 17
So many times we read the story of David and the Goliath but we miss out on what God is actually trying to reveal to us from the passage. Yes, we know that God chose a young and militarily inexperienced boy like David to show His power through his weakness. And we also know that God chooses the ordinary people to do extraordinary things.
But the point IS, God is NOT looking for someone with the most ability, but the one WITH the most AVAILABILITY!! Have you been daunted by the fact that you are not smart enough, not pretty enough, not talented enough, not adequate, not charismatic or eloquent enough for God's use? hey hey, you are getting it all wrong then! If you are willing to raise your hand and say 'God, use me. Here I am.' HE WILL!
So the question really, is are you AVAILABLE for God to use you today?
