A New Skin for a new Year 2006

Is the orange skin nice? =) I decided to change it cos its a BRAND new yr! Well, I haven been updating my blog for quite awhile, so now, I don even know where to begin with! So many things has happened..

I really enjoyed myself in the ChiangRai Akha (AOF) trip that I went on 19Dec-28Dec. I went w my ex-church frens, and the young people bonded really well together. We came up with dances (One Way, Every move I make), games, songs, english classes etc etc. But most importantly, God showed us how much He could do thru us, as we allow Him to work in us. There was this special bond between us and the orphans, even though we don't understand each other very well due to the language barrier. But we just enjoyed playing together, and just showering our love to the kids. 2 very important lessons I learnt:

1.God's protection and undertaking is forever with us as we trust in Him. We heard of possible earthquake 6.1 during our first day of arrival @ supper time. God comforted me with this verse Psa56:3 "When I am afraid, I will trust in you.'
Thank God, no earthquake. BBC news reported earthquake in south asia 2 days after our arrival. So, mayb God shifted the earthquake there??

2.The orphans have so little yet they are so happy. They just love us to care for them and just hug them. All the christian songs that they sing are action songs, and they sing it so loudly! enjoying every word and action that they make, singing to God wholeheartedly! It made me treasure what I have, and to love God even more and not be ashamed to praise the Lord and spread His word!

Yday me and my Chiangrai frens, went to watch Narnia.. =) Fantastic show, powerful too, when its spiritual meaning is interpreted!

Tim Toh, Anna, Samuel, Esther, Debbie, David, Tim Chia, Steven, Clara, Guoyi, Guoyong, thank God for our new found friendship! (or should i say, my new 'old' frens?hehe) Can't wait for our next outing!
