My Fantabulous Week!

My Fantabulous Week!

Wow!Past few days have been an exciting experience for me.I went out with the Japanese youths, got to know them better..& im starting to miss them already, now that they have gone back to Japan!Here is what had happened:

Saturday

I met up with Jan,Joy,Winnie,Aggie,Kaita,Yuka & Yuji to go bowling in the afternoon. Kaita & Yuji's skills v good!Kaita always stike de..& Yuji's ball v power..it will spin & spin & hit all the pins down!cool!Joy & Winnie are the funniest..they would aim & roll the ball tog in hope that more pins will collapse.But the ball always go to the 'drain'. Haha..

Anyway, after that, Winnie, Jan & Aggie had to go..so it was left to me & the 3 of them.So funny..instead of me & Joy leading them to decide where to go next (we are the hosts ma..), Kaita would say 'Ok!decided!lets go lets go!' & will start walking in front.He is a natural leader sia..So we headed off to Pasar malam after bowling. I had the opp to get to know Yuka better & realised sth!!she likes winnie the pooh too!heez..yeah yeah!After that, the plan was to meet a group of VCF friends that Kaita & Yuji met at NUS to go play basketball..but the plans were messed up due to the sudden heavy rain. Apparently, Yuji's host family also wanted to play bball with him & Yuejia (vcf friends). One group meeting him in bt batok, another group meeting him in jurong. Due to heavy rain,Yuejia decided that we should all go clementi to play cos its indoor court. But when we got there, the court was closed due to some maintanence stuff. So the bball game was cancelled. Yuji got a bit upset, cos he really din want to disappoint his host family. His face showed it all..when we asked him if he was ok,he was like 'no.' Kaita, our dear bro stood up to the situation & decided plan b...where to go for the next alternative.We consoled Yuji a bit & he seemed better after that. Our plan b was amongst the 4 of us cos Yuji went to meet his host family for dinner. I could really see the sacrificial love that Kaita had when he decided not to go City Harvest & that we should all go & find Yuka's old house.

wow..this part is even more interesting!!Yuka stayed in Spore when she was age 1-10. So one of the purpose of her visit to Spore was also to visit her neighbour. The info that she had was only the address 7 Pepys Lane West POint Condo (west coast park view condo) & her neighbour's name KC Tan Family. No telephone, no unit no.We took 2 hours to find the condo!!Actually, we took a hard time to find Pepys Lane. When we reached west point condo, we tot tht what we should look for was park view condo. So when the security told us that there was no KC Tan family, we took the cab & tried to look for park view instead. Yuka kept on saying that her condo is the left turn once we exit frm Ayer Rajah expressway, so the taxi driver even took us to the highway & turned left. U noe what?we ended up at westpoint condo again!We got off the taxi, & decided to look for the security again. This time we even pleaded that we look for every unit jus to find Yuka's neighbour. Joy & I were really hungry but still no dinner yet.. both of us prayed in our hearts that God would lead us to find Yuka's neighbour as we could really see the strong determination in her.The security guard allowed us to browse thru a list of owners name staying in the condo.We found it!we found Kay Ching Tan..which in short was KC Tan & family!we were thrilled!so we dashed to the unit to find her long lost neighbour..When we reached the doorstep, we found out that no one was at hme..quite sad rite?However, the next door was at hme!& u noe what??it was KC Tan's sister!!Yuka was v v touched..the sister invited us to her big house to have a seat while Yuka called KC Tan on the phone.It was really a re-united..blessed feeling!me & joy & Kaita wanted to cry too!!so touching..The sister was v v gd to us too..she even poured canned drinks for us! During our conversation, we found out that she is also a christian frm Lighthouse!She commented, 'Holy Spirit muz have led u here' I really believe it was!such blessings frm the lord rite?? =)

Hee..our day ended with meeting up Frankie,Farand & Daniel at newton circus for dinner at 9 plus. Kaita was v happie with his coconut drink,Mutabak & Hokkien Mee..he was so hungry already!!Thank u brothers for paying & treating all of us for dinner!!Everything was just so 'Oyishi!!' Yuka loved the Popiah & Cheng Teng & all the rest..we reeallly had a greeat time that day!Though we reached home close to 12am, me & Joy learnt many lessons from the Lord. We prayed when things weren going out way, when plans were messed up..& things turned out better..we prayed when we couldn find Yuka's old hme & Holy Spirit guided us. We prayed when it was getting so late!& we din wanna get scolded..& we din.. =) God is amazing!

Besides getting to know Yuka,Yuji and Kaita better, I got closer with Joy too!It has been a long time since we catched up during Youth Camp when we were in camp com. Thanks Joy for your friendship! =)
